Well hello my lovelies! I am finally back!! I cannot tell you how irrevocably sorry I am that I went MIA for 3 months...The summer was a tough time for me, but I'm ready to put it behind me and I am back and ready to go with even more beauty madness than before! So for today's post, I wanted to feature a lipstick that I picked up yesterday from Target. This is e.l.f.'s new 'Moisturizing Lipstick'.
So, let's talk packaging. The packaging on this conforms to e.l.f.'s usual matte black, white print look, but has a new twist as far as lipsticks go. It has the lovely colour at the bottom that makes finding the right colour in my ever-growing lipstick collection much easier. It also has a lovely shiny black detail where the cap is right in the middle.
Now, I got this lipstick in the shade "Ravishing Rose". I will admit, when I first picked this up I had thought it would be an everyday nude rose sort of shade, but upon application I see that it is actually a red! It is not necessarily the classic red lip sort of shade, but a nice subdued and deep cool blue-toned red, which makes it much more wearable.
The absolute best part of this product is its formula. Holy moly, this blog post is titled the way it is for a reason! This is the most moisturizing lipstick I have EVER tried before. And the kicker? It was 3$. This lipstick lasts; it does not break up on your lips, nor fade quickly, nor dry them out. It stays put and literally feels exactly like a lip balm. So the verdict is out: this is the best lipstick both from the drugstore and of the high-end lipsticks that I have tried so far.
