Hardly talked about, but AMAZING Lipstick ♡

Hardly talked about, but AMAZING Lipstick ♡

Well hello everybody! I'm sorry for my absence once again, I just had my graduating commencement this week, so things got a little hectic in the week leading up to it. Anyways, I am now in that final push to end the last month of school and have so many posts lined up and ready for you guys so don't you worry! Today's post is going to be all about the one lip product that I have never heard anybody rave about but really deserves to be acknowledged! It is currently at the top of my lipstick list and I would even venture to say it has become a holy grail lippie to me.

This is the BodyShop Colourglide Shine Lip Colour in the shade 05 Iced Violet. I bought this shade because I had been itching to try purple lipstick and thought this would be the perfect starter kind of transition colour. The packaging...just wow. It looks like a tiny little silver bullet with a cool two toned gold detail; it is so sleek and yet doesn't retain finger prints on it...Handy! It honestly looks so luxurious considering I got it for $5.00, (on sale)!

Now, the product itself is definitely more on the glossy side of a lipstick, it has tiny shimmers in the stick, but once applied onto the lips, there is no sparkle whatsoever (phew!). The formula is oh so moisturizing and once the gloss wears off after about half an hour, it has a slight stain to the lips so the colour remains and your lips don't feel tight after. Now the shade is to die for. I thought it would be a soft purple, but it really comes off as more of a purple under-toned rose petal shade. Simply stunning. Something about it just makes my whole face feel absolutely radiant.

check it out here! Oh so cheap!

All in all, I am proud to be the first to rave about this amazing lippie and say that each and every one of you need to try it! Especially considering the amazing price...And if you need one more reason to check it out... It smells like a muted sweet fruit juice! Unreal.

And that's the way I see it!

DIY Muscle Tank! ☀

DIY Muscle Tank! ☀

Hello my lovelies! I'm back once again to start my very own DIY for spring/summer series! This particular post, we are going to be making our very own Brandy Melville inspire Muscle Tanks!

Okay so we're going to start with any t-shirt you wish to cut. I chose this tie-dye one that I made a couple summers ago. Taking any colour sharpie or marker, make a dotted line (not a solid line because that can get messy and uneven) approximately where you would like to cut. Make sure you are going to be cutting off that shoulder seam. If you're not sure how much you're going to be wanting to cut off, start smaller and you can gradually make the hole bigger and bigger form there by simply repeating this steps until you reach the desired arm hole size! In this case, I had summer in mind and so I cut my arm holes very wide and long just above where my belly button would be in line with.

Next, we are going to repeat the dotted line step at the bottom of the shirt to create the desired length. Once again, make sure you are cutting off that bottom seam. You can totally make this a super cute crop top if you wish. In this case, I decided to cut the bottom hem off and keep the shirt a decent length.

Once you have cut the arms and bottom, you will start to notice the fabric rolling. This is a good thing because it will make our cut lines look a lot better, even if they were not straight to begin with! Once you have finished the cutting, throw the shirt in the wash to soften up the harsh edges of our cuts, and you're all done!

For this particular shirt, I had summer in mind and the intention of either wearing this to the beach so that you can see my bikini through the arm holes, or out on a laid back summer night over a bralette (the one I am wearing in the top picture is from Aritzia). I decided to keep the neck seam on to follow the Brandy Melville style, but feel free to repeat the dotted line step and create a V-neck or scoop neck cut-out!

Well guys, there ya have it! A DIY Brandy Melville muscle tank for the fraction of the price and in whatever pattern you so desire! Score!

That's the way I see it!

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer: Worth the Hype?

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer: Worth the Hype?

Well guys, it's time for the next instalment in my "Worth the Hype" series! Now I'm sure that if you are an avid YouTube watcher like myself, you have heard everybody and their mothers talk about this concealer. Well after months of using (and loving) the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind under eye dark circle concealer, I decided it was time to see what this Mac concealer was all about.

It cost me about 24.00$ in Canada. It has a pump container which I absolutely love, but the pump is actually a little hard because you either do a full pump or none at all; there's no controlling how much product you get out at one time which is sort of annoying because I always end up pumping out way more product than I need. Now I suffer from some major under eye dark circles, and so I wanted to get the most brightening shade I possibly could, which consequently ended up being the lightest shade they had... NC15. You always want to get your under eye concealer at least a shade lighter than the rest of your face and foundation colour!

Side Note: The right photo I have foundation on the rest of my face cancelling out my redness, so that's why it's so much lighter than the photo on the left.

Upon pumping this stuff onto the back of my hand it is really quite an odd consistency. I expected it to actually be thick, but it's really quite thin...But man is the coverage ever full. Once you disperse this product, you want to start working with it right away because it settles in quite quickly. I actually have a bit of a hard time washing it off the back of my hand after I am done my makeup, which I guess means it's decently water proof; perfect for summer! So anyways, it is quite creamy and lovely and I find it applies much nicer if you dab it on (ideally with a sponge) compared to rubbing it in. I just dab it in with my fingers, creating a large triangle down to my cheeks to highlight as well as conceal. I quickly set this with my Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder, but really I'm sure you could use whatever powder you wanted, even a loose one. Once finished, this baby isn't coming off until I use my makeup remover on it. My eye areas are a little greasy and usually this causes my concealer to slide off by the end of school, but with this I get home and it is exactly where I put it.

Long story short: if you need some serious coverage and wear-time from a concealer, then definitely check this out. No seriously guys... go buy it.

Let me know if you guys want to see my under eye concealing and highlighting routine!

Best Makeup Removing Wipes On The Market!♡

Best Makeup Removing Wipes On The Market!♡

Well hello y'all! Now, some of you may be thinking that this is a sort of lame post...but I assure you ladies, the most important step to do with makeup is actually the removal at the end of the day. It is so important for the health of your skin, and ultimately how great your makeup looks good if you take it off properly! I have tried literally so many different makeup removing wipes and have never really been all that satisfied until just now. I have tried the e.l.f., Neutragena, and simple wipes and they have been decent but never were perfect for my skin. Finally, I stumbled across these babies and wow my skin has literally improved as a result.

So first off, I actually am a huge fan of this packaging because the white and blue just looks so clean! I don't know, I'm weird and most of you probably wouldn't even care about what packaging your wipes are in! Anyways, the re-sealable sticker is better than most I have tried, it stays sticky and consequently, I'm down to my last 4 or so wipes and they are just as moist as the first ones, yay!

Sorry, I doubt that you all really wanted to see my dirty makeup wipe, but I had to prove just how effective they are! So as far as the use of these, they are literally so perfect. They are very moist, making it easy to rub that darn makeup right off. Secondly, I'm not sure if it is because these are the Clean N Clear brand, but they have made my small breakout problems completely vanish. I have not changed anything in my skin care except for my makeup wipes, so I have no other conclusion to draw but that these are the cause of my clearing skin! It really goes to show how important it really is to unclog those pores and let that skin breathe! So price wise, these were about $7.00 dollars Canadian I believe, though they could have been less. So really, these are very budget friendly too in the grand scheme of things.

This is just a lame selfie I took today to show you guys how glowey my skin has been lately from these wipes! I used to suffer from very acne prone skin, and now I hardly break out at all!
