Hey guys! So I'm sure I'm not the only one who has recently been noticing all of the hype around the Rocket mascara from maybelline. It's been in so many YouTube tutorials and monthly favourites, I can't even keep track! So as usual, I thought I'd give it a try and see what I think!
Let's talk packaging. This marvellous blue torpedo is so unique. It's super smooth and shiny and the contrast between royal blue and pink is so pretty! The twist cap is very easy to open and close, and it shuts the product air-tight so it doesn't dry out!...That's a lot considering its a $5.00 mascara.
Now upon opening the product and seeing the brush style, I was immediately reminded of CoverGirl's Lashblast mascara in the signature orange tube (which I love!). The bristles are short and numerous set on a very thick wand. This makes it incredible easy to really separate and define your lashes. Anyways, so as far as the packaging says "Volume Express" I would say yes, my lashes definitely got thicker, but not as much so as they actually got longer. They really got defined and lengthened over anything else! And the dark black colour is dramatic as always.
I am usually one to layer my mascara due to clumping and other various lash issues, but to my incredible shock, I literally only used this one mascara....I haven't done that since the 8th grade! It's everything you need in a tube of good old eyelash paint: it thickens, lengthens, defines/seperates, and works amazing on the bottom lashes! I would pick this brush over any large fluffy hairy high end brush any day. And to top it all off it only cost $5.00!!! That's cheap even for the drug store.buy it here !
no.. seriously.. go buy it.. like now.
