Why I love my Nars blush/the best way to apply pigmented blush!

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share with you guys my very favourite blush of my entire blush collection....And that's saying a lot because I am a bit of a blush junkie. So anyways, this holy grail blush is my Nars blush in the shade Torrid. Surprise! I don't actually like the shade Orgasm that everybody raves about..I swatched it in Sephora and was not impressed with the pigmentation (next to none) or the overall colour.

Anyways so like always, let's talk about this packaging. As I have previously mentioned in my e.l.f. contouring kit post, I am absolutely obsessed with the simple matte black packaging and the full length mirror. So beautiful.

I picked this shade because it is almost an orange-y coral, something that is definitely outside of my usual shade comfort zone. When I saw it in the store it just jumped out at me compared to all of the other ones, not necessarily due to brightness, just how beautiful it was! I picked it up and bought it immediately.

The overall consistency of this product is like your average blush but about ten times smoother. The pigmentation....IS AMAZING! It has unreal colour pay-off, but not in a crazy dramatic clown sort of way; it has just enough pigmentation to make this beauty guru very happy.

Anyways, now onto my application techniques. I typically use just a regular blush brush for my lighter, less pigmented, more highlighter blushes. But for bright ones like this, my best friend is the stipple brush. I lightly dust the brush into the product and stipple (swirl and buffing motions) it starting at the apples of my cheeks and slowly moving up to the temple. This technique blends the blush in such a natural yet still visible way it is so amazing. So using the stipple brush (I just have the mini one from e.l.f., but any brand/size works!) just ensures that you aren't just 'swiping' on the powder; you're blending it!

All in all, this product is to die for and I think each and every one of you needs to go buy one right now! It's a little on the pricey side, but so incredibly worth the money.

And that's the way I see it!
