E.L.F. Contouring blush/bronzer review!
Hello my lovelies! Today I would like to enlighten you guys to the best $3.00 I ever spent. You guessed it! The e.l.f. contouring blush/bronzer!
I would like to start off by confirming that yes, the rumours are true! This little palette is an identical dupe for the Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo ! The packaging is exactly the same sleek matte black case, with a mirror and two generously sized powders. Long story short, I popped across the line to the lovely United States and picked up this bad boy for a whopping 3 dollars..... I gotta say, I much prefer this price over the $50.00 for the exact same product with the Nars label on the front.
Here you can see the two shades that come in this palette. Now, the very first time I ever applied this product, I assumed because it had cost me so little that it would ultimately be fairly cheap and not very pigmented...So I just loaded the bronzing powder onto my brush and swiped it just under my cheek bone. SURPRISE! This is one of the most pigmented powders I own in my vast makeup collection! It has just as much colour pay-off, if not more, as my Nars torrid blush! Needless to say, I wiped that off with a makeup cloth and started over, this time hardly dusting the brush in the powder and across my cheek. Though there it quite clearly some shimmer to both the bronzer and blush in this palette, it makes for the most glowing and beautiful contour! Moving onto the blush portion of this set, the pigmentation is just as insanely opaque and the colour is a quite lovely flushed more natural shade. They make such a gorgeous duo and blend together seamlessly.
This formula ends off with the smoothest and silkiest finish, and completed with my Urban Decay makeup setting spray, is a dream! Though without any setting spray, it is still unreal. Unlike the harsh undertones of some bronzers, the one in this palette gives your face such a warm and healthy glow, no matter what your skin tone! As you can see in the picture below, I am about as pale as they come...And this is the look I created with the lightest dusting of the product under my cheekbones with just the slightest addition of the blush blended together at the middle. Though this particular look is decently subtle (it was the morning, so I couldn't do anything too dramatic!), you can really see how it warms up my whole face! I, being so fair skinned, struggle a lot with looking quite sickly sometimes, and so I believe I have just found my new holy grail of contouring!
All in all, this product surpassed all of my wildest expectations and was so worth the money that I would not only recommend this product to beginners but to well seasoned makeup artists as well. It beats out the higher end option in every aspect and the colour pay-off is just fantastic! And
for this I think it deserves a standing ovation. Well done e.l.f.!!

That's the way I see it!

PS. The look below is just an example of the warmth and depth the shadows brought to my face! On the left side of my complexion, you can see where the bronzer is working just below my left cheek bone. Love it!
